DALLAS, TX (February 15^th, 2010) - The 2010 SCION Regional Amateur Skateboard Tour will kick-off on March 27^th at Texas newest public skate park facility in Lewisville - just North of Dallas. Initial response from local skaters and from the City of Lewisville has been extremely positive.

"This will be the first organized skate competition at the park and we are excited to kick off our series at such an awesome facility." said tour organizer, Bill Geiger. "The park is huge with great flow and a variety of steps, ledges, rails a mini-ramp and a massive in-ground cloverleaf bowl."

Created in 2009 by Dallas based Geiger Media, The RAT Skate Tour will consist of six (6) events across Texas and Oklahoma. Featuring both street and bowl competitions. The series was created to give local skaters an opportunity to compete with their peers in a relaxed, fun environment.

Railroad Park is a 250-acre recreational facility in Lewisville, Texas that officially opened Nov. 2, 2009. Located on the east side of Railroad Street between FM 3040 and Business 121, The park has eight soccer fields, four football fields, four baseball fields, a dog park and the long-awaited in-ground cement skate park.

"The skate park was something we were looking into before the land was bought," said James Kunke, community relations and tourism director. "We know a significant segment of the population uses that as a recreation outlet."

After the kick-off in Lewisville the series will travel to Corpus Christi, TX on May 29^th, Oklahoma City, OK on June 19^th, Austin, TX on September 11^th, New Braunfels, TX on October 9^th and will wrap up in Houston on November 13^th, 2010. The RAT Tour will be filmed in HD for broadcast on The Action Sports Leader - FUEL TV.
